Palm Springs Weekend Getaway

Sometimes you just need a weekend off and there is no better place for a weekend off than Palm Springs. So when the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs invited me out for a few days I jumped at the chance to unwind in one of my favorite cities. Palm Springs is located just over 100 miles from both Los Angeles and San Diego making it a popular getaway in Southern California. Known as a mecca for biking, golf, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, and tennis, it is a very active city. I, however, planned on enjoying some 4-wheel-drive activities out in the surrounding desert thanks to Jeep.

Located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, the Hard Rock Hotel is within walking distance to top restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, meaning you can drop your car off at the valet and not need it again until you check out.

Rockstar Suite

Rooms at the Hard Rock Hotel are spacious, especially if you step up to the Rockstar Suite which features a full living room, lounge, bedroom, and kitchen. Major celebrities and real life Rockstars have stayed in this room. Every room at the HRH Palm Springs is stylish and feature subtle design elements that point back to Hard Rock's musical roots.

Music really is at the heart of the Hard Rock Hotel brand, from being able to check out a guitar to take to your room for jam sessions to incredible live music events, if you love music, you'll enjoy your stay at Hard Rock Palm Springs.

Sotomayor Rocking at Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs

HRH isn't just about heavy metal and hair bands, on the weekends in the club, they host local bands and international musicians like electronic artists Sotomayor  from Mexico City who played while I was there and rocked. With great music, drinks, and a relaxed vibe it's a great club just steps away from your room. We planned to go out and check out some other local bars. But we ended up just staying at the hotel and enjoying some really amazing performances.

Walking around the hotel you will see memorabilia from countless musical celebrities including Lady Gaga's Vespa, Frank Sinatra's jacket, Bono's Guitar, etc. Around every corner, you discover more art, collectibles, and musical treasures. As you explore the property you will pick up that there is a soundtrack playing in all the public area, that music is curated by the hotel's "vibe manager" who makes sure that it's always playing at the perfect volume, loud enough to enjoy, but soft enough you can still have a conversation as you sit in the lounge.

The top notch on-site restaurant 'The Kitchen' serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Every Sunday Morning they have a Drag Show Brunch, it is Palm Springs after all. But if you can't find your way out of bed and down to the restaurant, room service is just a phone call away.

Biscuits & Gravy at The Kitchen
Staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs is a treat, not just because of the cool rooms, awesome shows, and great food, the staff is what really stands out. From the valet and front desk to the bar and restaurant every interaction was professional, polite, and made me feel like a Rockstar.

  2. These are really popular places in the city for private events for corporations like us. It can be hard to find the right venue for big events. The right size San Francisco event venues, that are flexible fits well. Thanks to you.
