With the new year fast approaching, many are considering
making a career change. Author, Content Creator, and Entrepreneur Jennifer
Satterfield recently
shared her journey of leaving Corporate America to create content
and tell stories full-time.
It's a decision that many people dream of making, but few actually take the plunge: leaving the stability and security of corporate America to pursue a career as a full-time content creator. But what is it really like to make the switch?
According to Jennifer Satterfield, a former corporate professional who recently made the jump to full-time content creation, it's both exhilarating and intimidating. "Leaving the corporate world was a big decision for me, but it was one that I knew I had to make if I wanted to follow my passion and pursue my dream of telling stories," Jennifer said.
Jennifer started sharing content on her site GrowingUpTexas.com as a way of sharing
her passions for hospitality, entertainment, and connecting people. Since
launching her site, Jennifer has contributed to seven regional print
publications including, Brazos Valley Bride, Texas Living, and Society Texas.
This past summer she was a regular guest on KBTX’s
The Threes, a daytime lifestyle show where she shared tips for decorating,
hosting, and planning holiday parties.
While the transition can be challenging, Jennifer says it's
also incredibly rewarding. "I love the freedom and flexibility that comes
with being my own boss and having control over my own schedule. It's definitely
not an easy path, but it's one that has allowed me to connect with my audience
in a way that I never could have while working in the corporate world."
Despite the challenges, Jennifer encourages others who are considering making the switch to go for it. "It's a scary decision, but it's one that can lead to so much growth and fulfillment," [Name] said. "If you have a dream and the passion to pursue it, don't let fear hold you back."
