National Competition Celebrates the Trades

Staff - 01/24/2022

The U.S. Auto Tech National Championship (USATNC) was held in Nashville, Tennesee this past November, crowning the first-ever champion in both professional and student categories. The USATNC will be broadcast on Sunday, February 6th at 10:00 AM with an encore at 8:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports 2, hosted by Chip Wade. The event was such a success that they will be back for 2022 with a nationwide tour where mechanics can qualify for the national championship.

The competition is open to men and women who are professional auto technicians or students who are enrolled in an automotive trade school. First-place winners in 2021 took home $40,000 in cash plus bragging rights for being the top tech in the nation. The competition is part of the IDEAL Trades Championship Series which already includes an electrical competition and will be adding an HVAC tech competition soon.
